Julius Thompson Speaking at Eddie's Attic!

   "Good Afternoon,
I want to thank you all for coming out to this year's Decatur book festival.
I am honored to have the opportunity to speak at this author event presentation.
It means a lot to see so many of your faces.
Ghosts in the Crawl space is the topic for today, but in my books the ghosts are in the crawl spaces of people's lives.
It occurs in the inner most recesses of the mind and manifests itself in the good and bad motivations and then the actions of the characters.
However, there are suggestions of actual ghosts in my books. This supernatural allusion acts as a flavoring that gives depth to my novels.
My ghosts create mystery in the human condition where the reader experiences moments of fear, moments of incredible hopes and moments of answered dreams.
The Julius Thompson Trilogy is a thirty year journey. The saga of Andy Michael Pilgrim is a journey through the sixities in A Brownstone In Brooklyn, the seventies in Philly Style and Philly Profile and the eighties in The Ghost of Atlanta.
The reader follows Andy as he matured in the turbulent sixties in Brooklyn with the Civil Rights movement and the Vietnam War, the dominant themes of the times, his working as a sportswriter in the seventies in Philadelphia watching the influence of drugs and gangs destroy young people's lives, and in Atlanta in the eighties where he finally faces demons that has haunted his life"...The Presentation continued with excerpts from the trilogy.

After the presentation, moderator Ronald Gauthier and fellow presenter, Gino Bragdon enjoyed a moment of reflection on the successful afternoon.
